Watch TV Tacoma Live via the Web
TV Tacoma is now available online in real time. We know it’s hard. You can’t make it to council chambers on time, your don’t have a TV convenient to switch to channel 12, but you have your computer… what are you to do to get your TV Tacoma/City Council fix? Now, you can sit in the comfort of your own home or office, Black Water Cafe, or hotel room and stream TV Tacoma any time…
To be honest, we love it!

The Council should start taking public comment via IM.
(Kidding…I think…)

I don’t have cable TV so this new service is a boon to cartoonists. However, I cant figure it out. Is it for Windows Media Player or what? How do i make it work with Miro?

OK works if I copy/paste links into mplayer2

That’s very good news. I think public comment via online forum should be allowed with the Council. It’s a valid way to get people involved.

RR Anderson:
Yeah, Miro! Sorry, got a little excited there.
I’m watching it right now in VLC (almost as cool as Miro, but for different reasons…). Anyway, I’m on the high quality version, but for 80k per second, this looks pretty bad. More over, why not take it up to a few hundred kbit per second, Click! will handle it! Further, who uses WMVs, anyway?

elliot, at least they’re not stuck on the horrid real media player treadmill anymore.

Good call on real player.
Anyway, my post was probably overly negative, I’m happy to see this going online one way or another. Welcome to 2002, TV Tacoma! Oh, there I go again.
