Weekend Arts Jan. 31 - Feb. 3

As we mentioned before, look for the Boys of Greenwood Glen performing live at Doyle’s tonight.

Friday February 1, though, get ready for an interesting live music event at UPS. 160 fingers (that’s 16 people if you’re counting) will play on 8 Steinway pianos. Guest artist Yoshikazu Nagai will be at Schneebeck Concert Hall with UPS professors and students. The concert starts at 7:30. Admission is $12.

Saturday, look for comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham at the Pantages. He’s not for families and likes to push buttons. Here’s a YouTube video of his recent Comedy Central performance.

And Saturday and Sunday is the Young Artist Showcase of “Uncommon Mozart” present by Tacoma Opera at the Theatre on the Square. It’s part of the Opera’s year of comedic pieces.

As usual feel free to add more arts events in the comments below.
