Weekend Preview: film and focus

The kiddos and I are going to one of the free film programs in Tacoma.

The Grand Cinema hosts the Click! Family Flick every third Saturday. That means this weekend brings a free family film. Saturday’s movie is Shark Tale. Doors open at 10 a.m.

This film follows the story of Oscar (played by Will Smith). This little fish has a big heart and even bigger dreams. But then things get weird when he becomes the unlikely, and unwarranted, community hero.

For something a bit different, Tacoma Tactical is hosting Freaky Friday, when would-be shooters can spend two hours shooting airsoft balls at targets or each other at the 12,000-square-foot facility that is made up to be a mock urban warfare setting. The cost is just $5.

Nothing beats a weekend of animation and mock warfare that can be found within miles of each other.
