Weekend Preview: Hot days and hot cars

Imagine that, a weekend with good weather. It’s almost like summer has finally arrived just in time for the back-to-school sales. A few things on tap this weekend might even be worth getting outside to see.

The Rebel Riot Pinup Contest and Car Show takes over the block around The New Frontier Lounge for all things Pinup and classic rides all to benefit deployed soldiers, courtesy of the Pinup Angels. The Rebel Riot Pinup Contest, hosted by Miss Kitty Baby, will bring ladies in classic swimwear from those days when American cars ruled the road.

Another soldier-support event hits across town. Operation Ward 57 and Rock the Dock Pub & Grill presents the Rock and Rally for the Troops, a motorcycle Dice Run, sponsored by Brothers In Arms MC. The event will also include, of course, a concert event featuring the bands Fall From Grace, Anchor the Tide, Atomic Bride and Aces Up. And of course, there will be the Renagade Calendar Girls and the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Bettie Brigade will be on deck.

And with that, the weekend will pass.
