Weekend Preview: Musicians unite

Being an artist or musician can be a lonely venture. Solo studio time and rehearsals don’t make for much social interaction. An effort this weekend hopes to change that.

Hell’s Kitchen will host a Tacoma Music Scene Networking and Holiday Party brought by SoCo Lime tonight. The $5 admission gets folks in the door as well as on the emerging Tacoma Musicians Directory.

Tacoma-based musicians, fans and supporters are invited to a night off the stage and into the audience to see five bands, win door prizes from music scene businesses and generally get their holiday jollies off with each other.

The New Frontier will continue the holiday festivities with an Ugly Sweater Contest Sunday night. Anyone who brings a donation of toiletries, scarves, gloves, hats, food or cash gets in the door and supports Tacoma Rescue Mission’s Adams Square Family Center.
