Weekly Volcano's Drinkology for the 4th
It would seem that at least a few of you are still looking for a watering hole to call your own. Sure, Doyle’s is cool, but it’s new and (relatively) shiny. The same can be said for the Monsoon Room or the Tempest Lounge. There’s the Parkway, but it’s… the Parkway. We’ve gone there for years, but we’d never call it hip. Where do the locals tend to end up for a drink? What are the places that have been around forever, yet still seem cool. The Weekly Volcano has come out with a little Fourth of July roundup of their favorite Tacoma bars, lounges, and pubs. If you’re looking for the bright and shiny martini places, this isn’t the list for you. The Spar, Sidedoor Lounge, Magoo’s, Harbor Lights, Goldfish Tavern, and Bob’s Java Jive all made the cut. All you need is the Harvester Lounge and Hanks and my world is pretty much complete…
Mmm… a gimlet.
