What's Happening at the Sam's Tire Building?

Something is happening at the Sam’s Tire Building.  A few months back, as you may recall, Sam’s Tire left the building.  So what’s next?  Unfortunately, all we’re getting is speculation – lots of speculation from completely unrelated and unprompted sources.  Okay, we’ve been sitting on this one for a bit waiting for some form of confirmation and it simply isn’t coming our way – so… do you know anything? 

Here’s what we’ve heard.  There have been lots of folks coming and going from the building.  Folks that ‘look like’ appraisers, realtors, and suits.  The building has been sold and the new owners are going to lease the space to a custom yacht manufacturer… or a steel construction company.  Others have said that there’s no way the building is being sold, but there’s definitely somebody new moving in right now.  There’s simply too much activity for an empty building…

Given its proximity to a potential hotel, I’m very curious what’s happening in this space.  Anybody?
