I think it would be good to see camp-sites inside Pt. Defiance Park. I would think there could be alot of money made by the city. Also, the snack shack at the end of Les Davis Pier should stay open during business hours, at least. It seems that everyday that I go by, it is never open. A funny way to run a business. Just my 2 cents worth…

Turn the entire agency over to the city.

Re-open the Old Town pier IMMEDIATELY as it is perfectly fine as is. Limit improvements to piecemeal replacement of decking as it deteriorates.
Create and implement a plan for multiple small neighborhood off-leash dog parks. (here we go again)
Use the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris and Kensington Park in London as models and install wrought-iron fencing around Wright Park so it can be secured and closed at night. Make it a safe haven for families and the law-abiding. (see Squid duck and cover now)

Mr. Musser @1, the last thing I want to see at Point Defiance is campsites. However, I would not oppose the use of Metro Parks Headquarters grounds as a campsite fitted with teepee’s. Unruly camper’s there could be controlled and be subject to strong-arm intervention by Boy Scouts from the nearby BSA fort.

Mofo@4: Surely you realize there are multiple campsites at PDP already? MP should just start charging the current users.

Campsites at PDP? Like unlawful sites established by homeless people? That I would believe. Well, I suppose there could also be squatters composed of Fort Nisqually reenactment period actors. Or maybe wild packs of drop-out factory teenagers.

Eric @ #2: Perhaps that would finally bring effective and responsible management of PDZA, if not NWT.
