When Will We See...
The News Tribune’s John Gillie has a nice year end synopsis of several projects that received plenty of press once upon a time, but haven’t quite broken ground yet. Included on the list, and in our area of interest, are the ArtLofts on Market, Simon Johnson’s waterfront towers, the Old City Hall, and Jay Heights.
There aren’t any surprises there for folks that read the TNT or Exit133 regularly. I do believe, however, that the ArtLofts are done. I’ve heard from several people that it’s over and the recent proposal – that didn’t quite get before City Council – to put low income residents on the spot would seem to suggest it’s no longer in our future.
What projects do you want to know more about? For me, what’s the status of the MLK redevelopment project? How about you?

Winner need be a present and registered voter in Pierce County. This is left out of the application and has resulted in people from across the country applying. I’m leafing through and being terribly amused.
Best.

When you said “dreaming big” I thought maybe the job was for the soon-to-be-vacated Illinois senate seat – for the right price, of course –
