Win A Trip To Tacoma?
I received an email this morning with the subject line, “Have we made it yet?” and an attached pdf document. What did I find? It’s a flyer for an ‘opportunity’ to win a trip to Tacoma and Seattle. But if you look at the photos and the itinerary, it’s all about Tacoma. Okay, it’s more about the Museum of Glass than us, but still… In addition to the flight to SeaTac, one would receive:
- Private limousine to Tacoma for lunch.
- Docent-led tour of the Museum of Glass
- Guided walking tour of historic downtown Tacoma…
- Gourmet dinner for 6 at trendy new Tacoma restaurant Two Koi
- One night’s stay at a premier Tacoma hotel
Do we have a premier Tacoma hotel? Well, we’re working on it at least…
I may believe that we’re a destination. I may even tell people to give us a chance as a destination. Seeing us as a prize winning destination. Oh yeah, we’ve made it now. The actual drawing is over, but we can bask in the glory of the flyer. The first of many, I assume.

“And of course, hot girls in tight jeans, low-cut shirts and mid-thigh skirts get their share of attention and whistles of appreciation even if they can’t carry a tune.”
Imagine: scantily clothed, sexy women getting applauded just for sexiness’ sake at a bar! I should just be glad someone finally took the time to write that observation down. This is the least interesting, (also an incredibly generic) way of promoting event fill- in- the- blank used by countless others.I go to Rockaraoke at Jazzbones and do have a blast- but I am disappointed the writer felt the need to highlight this in particular for exit133 readers.
There’s T & A almost everywhere ya look- either tonally challenged ones singing Rockaraoke or walking down the street. Exit133 usually has more interesting things to say about events around town- one primary reason I read it so frequently.

Anyone else thinking what I am thinking? Which is Steve might be a descendant of far wandering eyed beaver trappers from the heavily French influenced south of Luxembourg who in 1769 came to Tahoma because they heard a lot of wood was found to have been gnawed on there?

It’s also awesome if you have a penchant for shitty tribal tattoos,Backless shirts with back fat, jager bombs and general douchebaggery. Full-on amateur night.
