Win Tickets to Feb. 4 Goldfinch/Kimo Muraki/Birds & Batteries/Grand Hallway Concert

UPDATE Due to the high number of entrants competing for free tickets, we will be moving the random drawing to 3:00PM TODAY (Wednesday, Feb 2). This way, everyone will have adequate time to purchase tickets before the venue possibly sells out.
First things first: If you take the time to read this article and take appropriate action, you have the chance to win a ticket to a concert I am very excited about. The paragraphs that follow will expound upon this concept.
If you know much about the recent history of independent music in Tacoma, the travails of The Warehouse are not unfamiliar to you (travails). But The Warehouse is a plucky organization with good taste and loyal friends. They have persisted in their mission to deliver good music to Tacoma. Their persistence is evidenced by the promising concert scheduled for this Friday, February 4, 2011, at the Peabody Waldorf (746 Broadway Ave).
Friday’s Warehouse-presented show will feature my favorite Tacoma band, Goldfinch (photographed above by Dylan Priest). They will be joined by Kimo Muraki (from Seattle), Birds & Batteries (San Francisco) and Grand Hallway (also Seattle).
Exit133 performed a thorough review of Goldfinch’s latest release – “Elephant/Vacant Lot” here-. Representatives of Exit133 have also been spotted at recent Goldfinch performances in Seattle. Reviews were resoundingly positive, though somewhat incoherent.
Goldfinch has graciously given Exit133 two tickets to this concert. We will be giving these tickets away separately. Two winners will be drawn at random. To enter the drawing, email me at daniel.rahe@gmail.com. If you win, your ticket will be waiting for you at the door of the venue. Winners will be selected by random drawing at 6:00pm on Thursday, February 3, Wednesday, February 2, 2011 and announced at 7pm via email – so be sure to contact me before then (*Note: I will not respond to the request emails, but can assure you that everyone who wishes to be entered into the drawing will be).
