Woody's Wharf to Open in July

So, the word on the street is that the old Blue Olive space on Dock Street will be reopening as Woody’s Wharf the first or second week of July.  From what we hear, the plans are to keep the bar as is – including the ice ring.  We saw the liquor license a few weeks back, but these are the first additional details we’ve had pass through our inbox.  Welcome to the neighborhood!

First the Mecca and now the Oasis, I’m sensing a theme here. Maybe the Italian naming is just played out.

    Crenshaw @ 6

What’s next? The Bostwick goes condo and they call it “Climax”?

I can see the flyers and A-Boards now…

mmmm, that is as inspiring as an Extended Care Facility. What, did they stop making Fake-70sRetro-Earthtone-Condo-Paint?

Not a bad neighborhood up there. Nice views. Unfortunately, it’s not really within walking distance of any business establishments, and the street configuration makes it challenging to be a pedestrian anyway. Plans were filed last winter for a 5-story apartment building on 29th, a block away from the big cathedral. Anyone heard what’s happened to that project?

That project (land, plans, etc) had been for sale for a while.
