"Your South Tacoma Story"

In celebration of the new South Tacoma (South Tacoma Activity and Recreation (STAR) Center, Metro Parks Tacoma is inviting you to tell your story of South Tacoma.

Winning entries will be on display at the STAR Center, and may be displayed at other Metro Parks facilities as part of a “rotating exhibit.” Prizes include a STAR Center membership, free admission to MPT venues, and a free arts class.

Choose a picture and write a short personal narrative explaining why the photograph is your South Tacoma story. Entries should be in one of three categories (people, places, nature), and the narrative should be one paragraph, or about five sentences. Multiple entries will be accepted – up to two per category per person. Submissions will be accepted until 5:00pm, April 19; winners will be announced May 1.
