Your Suggestions for Dynamic Public Schools in Tacoma
Tacoma Public Schools is looking for public input from local businesses on what innovations would help improve student learning in Tacoma’s schools.
The survey asks basic questions about perceptions of Tacoma Public schools, and poses a question:
What kind of new programs or innovations would you like the school district to offer to help improve student learning?
The survey asks respondents to rank suggested areas for innovation:
- online or distance learning
- emphasis on specific subject areas, such as the arts or science and math
- teacher quality and training programs
- internships or work-based learning for students
- expanded school hours or more help in areas where a student struggles
- smaller, more focused “schools within a school”
- Other…?
Parents can answer the survey questions by following a link on the district website, and a blog post from the Business Examiner has a link for business owners and executives to answer the same questions.
