56th Street on-ramp to I-5 in Tacoma closes Sunday night

Weather permitting, the South 56th Street on-ramp to northbound Interstate 5 in Tacoma will close from 10 p.m. Sunday, June 22 to 5 a.m. Monday, June 23. Drivers will need to use alternate routes. 

Northbound I-5 drivers will also encounter double-lane closures on northbound I-5 from South 72nd Street to South 56th Street from 8 p.m. Sunday, June 22 to 6:30 a.m. Monday, June 23.

The closures will allow crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation to install new pavement markings.
