72-hour hold on Spanaway double-homicide suspect

TACOMA, WA – Today Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist requested a 72-hour hold on Richard Atkisson, 40, who was arrested by Pierce County Sheriff’s detectives for the murders of two individuals in Spanaway. Atkisson appeared in Superior Court today and is being held without bail.

“This is an ongoing investigation,” said Prosecutor Mark Lindquist. “We are still putting together the facts of the case, the suspect’s statement, and the suspect’s criminal history.”
