Advisory: Keep Out of the Water at Titlow Beach (Lifted)

1/22/15: Advisory Lifted at Titlow Beach: Titlow Beach sewage spill advisory has been lifted
1/15/15: Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department recommends people keep out of the water at Titlow Beach due to a sewage spill. This small spill affected both Titlow Lagoon and the beach.
Bacteria and viruses in sewage can cause gastrointestinal and other illnesses.
The Health Department has posted advisory signs at three locations and will continue to monitor the beach. When there are no longer increased risks to public health, the signs will be removed.
