Applicants sought for the Human Services Commission

The Tacoma City Council is looking to fill five positions on the Human Services Commission.
The Human Services Commission consists of fifteen members who are interviewed and recommended by the Community Vitality and Safety Committee and appointed by the
City Council. Membership must reflect the diversity of our community as to race/culture, gender, age, socioeconomics, geography, and interest in Commission membership. Youth between the ages of 16 and 18 are encouraged to apply.
The Human Services Commission conducts public hearings, accepts and reviews funding applications, rates project applications and makes human services funding recommendations to the City Council. The Commission also serves as a resource to the City Council and City Staff for implementation of the City's Human Services Strategic Plan.
