Applications for Parking Technical Advisory Group Due Jan. 10, 2014

The City is accepting applications for its volunteer Parking Technical Advisory Group (PTAG). The PTAG is responsible for providing policy recommendations and parking system oversight based on guiding principles and industry best business practices. The PTAG’s role has grown recently to include business districts and residential areas.
The PTAG members are committed to an open process that results in a high quality parking product and a positive customer experience. Therefore the PTAG seeks applicants with a variety of skills and knowledge. The PTAG and City staff encourage general residents, business owners, property owners, and people from higher education or medical institutions to apply.
The PTAG Co-Chair Rollie Herman stated, “While financial, parking or marketing expertise is valuable, it is equally important that problem solvers with strategic and critical thinking skills apply for consideration.”
Applicants must be Tacoma residents aged 21 years or older able to attend PTAG meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. on the first and third Thursday’s of each month. To be considered for the Parking Technical Advisory Group, please fill out and submit an application by the Jan. 10, 2014 deadline. Applicants can expect PTAG co-chairs to follow-up with in-person interviews. Click here for more information or to download the application. Then click on "application."
