"Bark" the Calendar: Hotel Murano Launches Twice Monthly Yappy Hour

Tacoma hotel opens its lobby to raise funds for Tacoma/Pierce County Humane Society.

TACOMA, WASH. – June 2, 2014 – This summer, Hotel Murano is introducing a twice monthly Yappy Hour for four-legged patrons and their two-legged companions to benefit the Tacoma/Pierce County Humane Society. Starting June 3, 2014, pups and human parents, both hotel guests and locals alike, are invited to schmooze in the hotel’s artfully appointed lobby every other Tuesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

During Hotel Murano’s Yappy Hour, canine clientele can partake in complimentary dog treats and Bowser Brew (a non-alcoholic, dog-friendly brew) while their owners enjoy appetizer specials and cocktails from the Lobby Bar. In between sips and snacks, dogs can relax with 4-Legger’s Healing Touch paw massages while owners let tension melt away with mini chair massages from Savi Day Spa.

For those who do not yet own a dog – or are looking for a second - Tacoma/Pierce County Humane Society representatives will attend every Yappy Hour with an adorable, adoptable dog in need of a forever home. Plus, 10% of all food and drink sales during Yappy Hour will be donated to the Tacoma/Peirce County Humane Society.

Located in the heart of Tacoma’s downtown museum district, Hotel Murano offers an artful twist on the luxury hotel experience. The property is a member of Provenance Hotels, a collection of art-inspired urban boutique hotels, and boasts the brand’s signature lifestyle amenities, such as a comprehensive pet program and innovative spiritual menus.
