Broadway Center and Tacoma Symphony Orchestra present Film & Forte: A Youth Education Fundraiser

Tacoma, WA -Broadway Center and Tacoma Symphony Orchestra (TSO) have announced a joint benefit fundraiser for youth education. Film & Forte: A Youth Education Fundraiser is an evening of cinema and music at Theatre on the Square on June 5. A VIP social hour starts at 6 p.m. and include live harp music, appetizers, fine wine, and craft beer. The feature 1950 film, Cyrano de Bergerac, begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 general (film only) and $75 VIP (includes social), and are on sale now.

Guests who purchase $75 VIP tickets will enjoy a reception beginning at 6 p.m. with an array of delicious appetizers paired with fine wine and craft beer. Harp music will fill the air with ethereal melody. Raffle tickets will be sold with a chance to win fantastic prizes and experiences donated by local businesses.

At 7:30 p.m., the program will begin with opening remarks from Broadway Center and Tacoma Symphony Orchestra Executive Directors, David Fischer and Andrew Buelow, presenting guests with an opportunity to make a donation to the youth education programs.

Following, will be a screening of the classic film, Cyrano De Bergerac, which tells the story of a French cavalier, poet, and master swordsman cursed with a "cathedral of a nose" caught in a comedic love triangle. The 1950 film stars José Ferrer in an Academy Award-winning performance. All attendees will receive free unlimited popcorn and soda during the movie.

Funds from Film & Forte : A Youth Education Fundraiser will directly benefit Broadway Center and Tacoma Symphony Orchestra Youth Education Programs, which impact thousands of students in Washington State each year through initiatives such as Broadway Center's The LENS Project and Student Matinees and TSO's Mini Maestros and Simply Symphonic.
