Career Day Set for March 7 at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park

High school and college-age students can learn about occupations in the zoological field during Northwest Trek Wildlife Park’s annual Career Day on March 7.

It’s a time for exploration in animal-care and related occupations, engagement in nature and encouragement from men and women who work in the zoo field every day.

Northwest Trek staff members will provide an introduction to a variety of those careers through talks and demonstrations.

Career Day events and activities – including admission to the wildlife park – are free for participants, but students under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Registration begins at 9:30 am. Scheduled activities run from 10 am to noon. Students may take self-guided tours during the afternoon hours.

Reservations for Career Day will soon be available at nwtrek.org. For more information, contact Jessica Moore at (360) 832-7160 orjessica.moore@nwtrek.org.

Space is limited, so it’s best to reserve early. If openings remain, there will be day-of-the-event registration, but there’s no guarantee of getting in.
