Caution: No Swimming or Wading at Jack Hyde Park due to High Bacteria Levels (UPDATED)

UPDATE: The advisory has been lifted.
The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department recommends people do not swim or wade at Jack Hyde Park on Ruston Way. High levels of bacteria found in the water show an increased risk of gastrointestinal illness.
The Health Department has posted advisory signs at Jack Hyde Park, and will continue to monitor bacteria levels at this location. When bacteria levels no longer show increased risks to public health, they will remove the signs.
