Council Member Marty Campbell to Help Spruce Up McKinley Park During April 25 Parks Appreciation Day

City Council Member Marty Campbell will join U.S. Representative Denny Heck of the 10th Congressional District and Park Board Commissioner Larry Dahl at a Parks Appreciation Day event in McKinley Park this Saturday, April 25. Together, they will help spruce up the park as part of Parks Appreciation Day, a countywide celebration of Earth Day, Arbor Day, National Parks Week and local parks. Hundreds of volunteers have pledged to spend their time to clean up and beautify parks and open space throughout Tacoma and Pierce County for the 9 a.m. to noon event.
