eTc Tacoma Presents the Photo Exhibit “QUIET” by LA Photographer David Rivera

QUIET: A photo exhibit by David Rivera

TACOMA, WA – On Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 7PM, eTc Tacoma presents “QUIET” the first photo show by Los Angeles, CA photographer and graphic designer David Rivera. The exhibition will run at the eTc Streetwear Boutique located at 907 Pacific Ave (Tacoma, WA 98402) until November 15, 2014.

“Quiet...that’s what it seems like to capture an image. That half of a second the camera is snapping is the most silent moment. You don’t breathe, you don’t blink, and you don’t move. Seeing through the camera lens, my surroundings blur out, with only one focus. I promise you...you won’t hear a thing,” says David Rivera.

David Rivera (http://www.suspendmag.com/2013/11/behind-lens-photographer-david-rivera-interview-jonathan-tate/) spent the last six years developing his style in photography and graphic design. His work includes a few of Los Angeles’ most prestigious, pop-culture companies like American Apparel (www.americanapparel.net), The Hundreds (www.thehundreds.com), and Power 106 (www.power106.com). His early work was centered on portraits of influential people in internationally known industries that include Casey Veggies, Nipsey Hussle, Rick Ross, and Kanye West. Slowly he’s developed a love for landscapes and sceneries he couldn’t find back home. He’s expanded his sights by covering places such as Hong Kong, New York, Hawaii, and Mexico. This exhibit is Rivera’s one-foot-out into showing his work in galleries. “My eyes to you,” as Rivera would say.

“QUIET” is the first in-store photo exhibit presented by eTc Tacoma (www.etctacoma.com). The opening reception of “QUIET” is in collaboration with David Rivera’s sponsor Hennessy US (www.hennessy.com). Rivera and eTc’s Co-Creative Director Umi Wagoner took the time to carefully curate this project and in the selection of photos. All the images in the exhibit are unreleased and will be available for purchase on November 1 until November 15.
