Food truck applications now accepted for 'Picnics in the Parks'

Metro Parks Tacoma is piloting a 2015 Mobile Food Truck 'Picnics in the Parks' series in select, signature parks on weekends in response to community interest and the ever-popular mobile food truck scene.  

The pilot program is designed to provide food and non-alcoholic concessions where permanent concession offerings are not available.

Picnics in the Parks locations will include:

Point Defiance Park - 5400 North Pearl Street, 98407
Norpoint Park - 4818 Nassau Avenue NE, 98422
Titlow Park - 8425 6th Avenue, 98406

Self-supported and self-contained mobile food trucks will be on-site in set park locations: 

June 12 - September 13 (including Monday, Sept. 7)
11 am-2 pm and 5-8 pm 
Friday - Sunday

Up to (3) mobile food trucks with diverse menu offerings will be approved for each park location.

Applications will be reviewed and considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
