Gov. Jay Inslee to convene college students for statewide virtual “climate conversation”

Gov. Jay Inslee tomorrow will convene a virtual conversation about climate change with students from around the state.

Students from five campuses will join the governor for an online roundtable about the need to act on climate and ways the governor’s current proposals could help finance education and transportation while also reducing carbon pollution. About a dozen students from each school will talk with Inslee about why young people are engaged on climate and ask questions about legislative proposals underway. Inslee will participate from the University of Washington Tacoma location.
