I-5 Ramps to SR 16’s Sprague Avenue close Thursday night

Starting at 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close the northbound and southbound Interstate 5 ramps to South Sprague Avenue. During the closures, motorists wishing to reach South Sprague Avenue will be detoured to South Union Avenue. 

The closures are necessary so crews can mount signs and apply arrows to the ramps in preparation for opening two new on-ramps from South Sprague Avenue to I-5. The on-ramps are anticipated to open by the middle of this month. 

The I-5 ramps to South Sprague Avenue will reopen by 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8.
