Kite-Flying at the South Tacoma Market

This Sunday, the Tacoma Farmer’s Market has got Father’s Day covered - fresh fruits and vegetables, crafts, and baked goods, along with free kite-making and a special deal on T-shirts for the father in your life!

If you’re looking for something fun to do this Father’s Day, the South Tacoma Market is the place to be. The market will be hosting free kite-making as part of our Father’s Day festivities, so stop by to catch some fresh air, sun, and family time. In addition, if you buy $20 in market tokens, you will receive $5 off all adult t-shirts, which means your Dad can look stylin’ in our “Get Fresh with a Local” Farmer’s Market t-shirts for only $10! Add to that our growing offering of fresh produce (check out the berries coming out this week!) and the numerous craft and food vendors this Sunday, and you’ve got a perfect Father’s Day outing!

The South Tacoma Market runs from 11am to 3 pm every Sunday. Find out more about bus routes and which vendors will be there here.

Now that June is well under way, the farmer’s market is bursting with new fruits and vegetables every week. On our radar right now: Fresh berries! Now is the perfect time for strawberries, cherries, and - coming soon! - raspberries. Stop by one of our markets while the season is in full swing!

This week we also welcome a new vendor to our Sunday market, Sanford’s Farm! Although they’ve been in the area for a while, this is the first time they will be making an appearance at one of our markets, so be sure to look for some exciting new produce from Sanford’s this week! You can read more about Sanford’s Farm at their website, here.
