Lane and ramp closures for I-5 construction in Tacoma

Multiple overnight lane and ramp closures scheduled for Interstate 5 and 705 and State Route 7.
Lane closures
- During Monday and Tuesday night, Nov. 17-18, drivers could find overnight single and double-lane closures on southbound I-5 in Tacoma from M Street to Portland Avenue. Lane closures will begin after 8 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. each following morning.
- Beginning at 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 17-19, crews will close the left lane of the Interstate-705 on-ramp to northbound I-5. The lane will reopen at 6 a.m. each following morning.
- The right lane of the Pacific Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-5 will closed from 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17 to 6 a.m. the following morning.
Ramp closures
- Friday, Nov. 14, crews will close northbound I-5 collector/distributor on-ramp to I-705/SR 7 from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following day.
- Tuesday Nov. 18 through Friday Nov. 21, crews will close the SR 7 on-ramp to southbound I-5 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Wednesday Nov. 19 crews will close the southbound I-5 exit to City Center 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Thursday, Nov. 20 northbound I-5 collector/distributor on-ramp to I-705/SR 7 will close from 12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m.
City of Tacoma streets
From 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17 to 7 a.m. the following morning, crews will close the eastbound lane of Wiley Avenue between L and D streets. Eastbound drivers will be directed through the center turn lane.
From 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18 to 7 a.m. the following morning, drivers will see one-way alternating traffic with flaggers on South 32nd Street from Pacific Avenue to South D Street.
The work is related to the I-5 M Street to Portland Avenue - HOV project.
