New Pastor To Be Installed at Urban Grace Church

Urban Grace Church invites the Tacoma community to the Installation Service of our pastor, Reverend Ben Robinson, on Sunday, February 9, 4pm at Urban Grace, 902 Market Street, Tacoma, 98402. Please join us as we celebrate this important step in the life of our church.

Rev. Ben Robinson is from Spokane, WA and attended Whitworth University where he studied religion, philosophy, and peace studies.  After graduating in 2003, he moved to Cairo, Egypt to start a youth group at an ecumenical Anglican church and pursue a Masters degree in Middle Eastern Christianity. During his time in Egypt, he married college classmate Emily Hinson and soon moved to Princeton, NJ where Emily began her career as a nurse and he attended seminary.  Following seminary, they returned to Egypt where Ben served as an associate pastor in the same Anglican Church and Emily worked at the US Embassy.  In 2012, Emily and Ben returned to Washington so Emily could begin a Doctorate in Nursing at UW.

Urban Grace Church is an ecumenical congregation originating out of historic First Baptist Church in 2005. We seek to be a space of radical and honest hospitality in downtown Tacoma that welcomes all people.
