Nighttime Lane Closures for Street Repairs on March 25

The City of Tacoma’s Street Operations Division will perform street repairs on South 48th Street between South Oakes Street and Tacoma Mall Boulevard.  City crews will only close lanes in the eastbound direction of travel. Weather permitting, the lanes will be closed from midnight to 7 a.m. on Friday, March 25.  Detour routes will be in place with local and emergency access allowed. 

The repairs will involve grinding and replacing the asphalt, resulting in a smoother ride and preserved street surface.
