Old Town Walking Tour Now Online

#WalkOldTacoma

Are you ready to get outside and stretch your legs? Want to learn about your city and get some exercise, too? Come, have some fun in Old Town! Job Carr Cabin Museum (JCCM) is pleased to announce the launch of a new, self-guided Old Town Walking Tour, available through your mobile device. The tour leads you through the heart of Old Town, along North 30th street. Then it takes you up into the Old Town neighborhood to find historic markers and buildings.

“This is an all-ages activity,” said Executive Director, Mary Bowlby. “The Cabin is dedicated to producing creative ways that families can engage in learning about Tacoma’s history, and have fun doing it!” The route is less than one mile along paved sidewalks. A children’s activity book to accompany the walking tour is available at the Museum.

The Walking Tour is part of Job Carr Cabin Museum’s offerings on STQRY – a free app available for download from iTunes and GooglePlay. STQRY can also be found online at https://discover.stqry.com. STQRY helps JCCM reach a wider audience and share stories about Job Carr and Old Town Tacoma. The app also provides information about many other attractions around the area.
