  • Northbound SR 7 on-ramp to southbound I-5 remains closed until spring 2015 for bridge construction.
  • A-Street on-ramp to northbound I-5/southbound SR 7 remains closed until spring 2017 for bridge construction.

Lane closures:
From Monday through Thursday, March 16-20, overnight single lane closures will take place on northbound and southbound I-5 between M Street and Portland Avenue. The lanes will reopen each following morning.

Upcoming extended closure of Pacific Avenue overpass in Tacoma

In early April, work to demolish and rebuild the Pacific Avenue overpass will begin. The overpass will be closed around the clock for 11 months or longer, depending on weather. All Pacific Avenue traffic will be detoured. If all goes according to schedule, in March 2016 the Pacific Avenue overpass will reopen to two lanes - one lane of traffic in each direction. Two months later in May, 2016, all lanes will reopen over the new Pacific Avenue overpass.
