Race Participants Run for Their Lives

Zombie Run and Tag pits humans against zombies for family-friendly fun
What are you running from? Decades ago, when the concept of running for exercise was a foreign idea, runners were often innocently asked this question. On September 13 at Wright Park, a person could again ask that question. But the answer would be drastically different. Zombies!
The undeadly fun begins at 4:30 pm on Saturday, September 13 in Wright Park. The idyllic park setting and innocent 2-mile run make way for a Zombie apocalypse in the ensuing game of tag. Afterwards, the public is invited stay and watch the movie ParaNorman, rated PG, shown outdoors in the park at dusk. Humans and zombies ages 5 and older are welcome to participate.
Zombie Run
The Zombie Run is a chip-timed 2-mile route through Wright Park and is perfect for runners and walkers of all ages.
Participants are encouraged to race as zombies, but humans are welcome too. Zombies and humans co-exist peacefully during this event as both make their way through the course to the finish line.
Zombie Tag
Zombie Tag begins after all runners and walkers have finished the 2-mile race. The ultimate goal is to become the sole survivor. During the game, human survivors travel from camp to camp in an attempt to remain safe.
Participants who come to the event dressed as Zombies will start the game as Zombies. Those that are not dressed as Zombies are the human survivors. Survivors are provided three flags.
When a survivor is caught, a flag is given up. A human who loses three flags becomes a Zombie, until only one human is left.
