Randy Spitzer announces bid for 26th District State Representative, Position 2
Gig Harbor, WASH. – Randy Spitzer, a retired small business owner has announced that he is challenging Michelle Caldier for State Representative.
After initially announcing for the Position 1 seat, Spitzer said that he has grown increasingly concerned over the lack of fiscal responsibility shown by Rep. Caldier.
Spitzer emphasized Caldier’s recent legal troubles.
“Our state’s Public Disclosure Commission records show that she has spent $61,000 of her supporters’ money on a lawsuit. Last session she voted against the bipartisan transportation package, and yet continues to do nothing to try to fix our broken tax structure, where seniors and the middle class pay more than Seattle billionaires. Worse yet, legislators like Michelle Caldier are being held in contempt of court and fined $100,000 per day – yet they still refuse to do their job to fully fund education.”
Spitzer is a retired small business owner, former teacher, author, and certified financial planner. Having served on the boards of the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor, and currently serving as the executive director of a small non-profit, Randy brings a business-minded approach to economic development.
Randy Spitzer and his wife, Laurie, live in Port Orchard.
