Ring in the New Year at Tacoma's First Night Celebration

First Night is Tacoma's family-friendly, alcohol-free, and fabulously fun New Year's Eve celebration. It's a great opportunity to say farewell to the old year and hello to the new.
The celebration begins at 6 pm with the annual First Night Parade, which marches down Broadway between 7th and 11th streets.
Walking in the parade are students from the Stewart Middle School SPARX program, Late Night participants from Winner's Gym, and families from Portland Avenue Community Center. These participants will walk along with floats they created featuring giant mountains and rams. This magnificent project features 7 mountains, each about 4x5 feet in size and lit from the inside, along with 13 rams.
After the parade the artwork will be on display at Theatre on the Square
Throughout the evening, Metro Arts’ dance performances will be held at Broadway Center's Theatre on the Square.
7:00-7:30 pm Metro Arts Theatre Company performance of the "Hysterical History of the Trojan War"
