Run to the Top Now Includes Kids Dash

Run to the Top on July 12 has been called Tacoma's toughest, grittiest, hilliest 5k—and runners and walker of all types will love every second of it. This year kids can conquer the trails too, in the new 1 mile Kids Dash.

Ongoing renovations by a dedicated group of park volunteers have made McKinley Park a runner’s dream with shady 8-ft wide trails boasting views of downtown Tacoma, a refreshing waterfall to cool off near and a new playground designed to entertain kids of all ages. 

The course winds around McKinley Park from bottom to top and although it is one of our most challenging events it’s also one of the most fun. The Kid's course is one loop from bottom to top of park and back.

The Kids Dash begins at 9:30 am followed by the 5k at 10 am. 

Entry is $25 for the 5k, $15 for the Kids Dash and includes a t-shirt and chip-timing. Online registration is available through July 10. Sign up online.
