Sept. 21 Monday Mixer Focuses on Tech Startups in Tacoma

The City of Tacoma's next Monday Mixer networking event on Sept. 21 focuses on the cultivation and retention of technology related businesses.

The event will be held at the Harmon Tap Room’s back room (204 St. Helens Ave.) on Sept. 21, from 5 – 6:30 p.m., and technology experts from higher education, well established companies, and new businesses will be available to answer questions about what it takes to attract and nurture talent, create development and funding opportunities, and thrive in Tacoma.

“The number of technology startups in Tacoma is starting to grow,” said Mayor Marilyn Strickland. “Our colleges and universities are uniquely aligned with the business sector and innovative entrepreneurs. This upcoming Monday Mixer is an opportunity to meet with experts, investors and help local tech companies succeed."

Key staff from the City of Tacoma's Community & Economic Development Department will be at the event along with various community leaders.
