Spring is in the Air and so are Expanded Hours

After a bit of a break during the slower days of winter, Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium and Northwest Trek Wildlife Park are just about ready to open daily for visitors.  

Beginning Monday, March 2, the zoo will be open from 9:30 am to 4 pm daily. And beginning March 13, Northwest Trek will be open seven days a week, too. 

So, plan your visit now. Here are the spring and summer hours at each zoological park.

Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium
March 1 - April 30
9:30 am - 4 pm daily

May 1 - May 22 
9:30 am - 5 pm daily

May 23 – Sept. 7
9:30 am - 6 pm daily (except early closure on July 17 for Zoobilee)
 
Northwest Trek Wildlife Park
Now through March 12
Open: Friday to Sunday, 9:30 am to 3 pm
Closed: Monday to Thursday

March 13-June 26
Monday-Friday: 9:30 am to 4 pm
Saturday-Sunday: 9:30 am to 5 pm 

June 27-Sept. 7
Daily: 9:30 am to 6 pm
