SR 167 Puyallup River Bridge Replacement Project Traffic Impacts

Major traffic impacts expected for SR 167 Puyallup River Bridge closures from 9 p.m. Friday, July 11 to 2 p.m. Sunday July, 13. 

During those times, all lanes of northbound and southbound State Route 167 Puyallup River Bridges in Puyallup will close to all traffic around the clock. The closures will remain in effect through 12 p.m. Sunday, July 13. Depending on work progress, there is a possibility the closures could be extended. The work also could be rescheduled because of the weather. 

In advance of the weekend closures, drivers can expect a series of other closures. 

Closure schedule: 

Monday, June 30: 
9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 4th Street and Levee Road under the Puyallup River Bridge will have one-way alternating traffic. 

7 p.m. to 5 a.m., right lane closure of the northbound SR 167 Puyallup River Bridge. 

7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., one-way alternating traffic on the Levee Road under the bridge. 

Tuesday, July 1: 
9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 4th Street and Levee Road under the Puyallup River Bridge will have one-way alternating traffic. 

7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., right lane closure of the northbound SR 167 Puyallup River Bridge. 

7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Levee Road and 4th Street to northbound Meridian will close. Drivers will use alternate routes. 

Wednesday, July 2: 
9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 4th Street and Levee Road under the Puyallup River Bridge will have one-way alternating traffic. 

7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., right lane closure of the northbound SR 167 Puyallup River Bridge. 

7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Levee Road and 4th Street to northbound Meridian will close. Drivers will use alternate routes. 

Thursday, July 3: 
9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 4th Street and Levee Road under the Puyallup River Bridge will have one-way alternating traffic. 

Friday, 4 July -Sunday 6:  
No traffic impacts. 

Monday, July 7: 
9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 4th Street and Levee Road under the Puyallup River Bridge will have one-way alternating traffic. 

Tuesday, July 8: 
9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 4th Street and Levee Road under the Puyallup River Bridge will have one-way alternating traffic. 

7 p.m. to 6 a.m., right and left lane closures of southbound SR 167 Puyallup River Bridge 

Wednesday, July 9: 
9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 4th Street and Levee Road under the Puyallup River Bridge will have one-way alternating traffic. 

7 p.m. to 6 a.m., right and left lane closures of southbound SR 167 Puyallup River Bridge

Thursday, July 10:
9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 4th Street and Levee Road under the Puyallup River Bridge will have one-way alternating traffic. 

Friday, July 11: 
9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 4th Street under the Puyallup River Bridge will have one-way alternating traffic. 

9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.,  Levee Road under the Puyallup River Bridge will have one-way alternating traffic. 

9 p.m. Full closure of northbound and southbound SR 167 Puyallup River Bridges, Levee Road and 4th Street.  

Trucks weighing over 80,000 pounds (overweight loads requiring permits) remain prohibited from crossing the bridge. Trucks weighing up to 80,000 pounds are restricted to the right lane.
