Tacoma/PNW bands giving away music to support YouthCare

Seattle, WA -- Five independent bands from the Pacific Northwest have teamed up to offer a collection of their music in support of YouthCare, the Seattle nonprofit that provides counseling, housing, education and employment training to homeless youth.

The collection is available for free download or on a pay-what-you-want system through The Good Pack, a new Seattle-based project that features collections of great, underappreciated music matched with important charitable causes. For those listeners who like the music enough to support the campaign, 30% of any purchase goes directly to YouthCare.

Visit thegoodpack.com to see how it all works. There, you can click on the album artwork to stream all the music and learn more about the artists. The collection consists of the following indie rock and folk albums/EPs:

• East EP & West EP by the Trouble Starts from Seattle, WA

• Glossolalia by the Marshall McLean Band from Spokane, WA

• Monochrome Places by Butt Person from Seattle, WA

• The Buddhist by Kye Alfred Hillig from Tacoma, WA

• Faded Explanations Vols. 1 – 3 by Goldfinch from Tacoma, WA

Finally, this video explains how the site works in one minute and features a playlist of one track from each of the bands.
