Tacoma Sings with the Puget Sound Revels

When: Friday, September 21, 6:30 – 8:00pm
Inspiration: Architecture is Frozen Music, Music is liquid architecture.
Where: Chihuly Bridge of Glass, Tacoma, and the plazas on either side. Meet on the Glass Museum end of the bridge.
What: A short concert of traditional music at 6:30, followed by a community sing through the glass bridge soundscape, ending in the Washington State History Museum amphitheater. Let’s “thaw” the Chihuly Bridge of Glass into Song! Song sheets provided. Bring a lantern to light as twilight falls.
The Point: Puget Sound Revels’ mission is to create community through the arts using traditional song, dance and story. This event uses music to create a community celebration in this wonderful public space. It takes celebration out of the theater, which we do so successfully with The Christmas Revels, and plants it right in the public domain, available to anyone who shows up. So show up!
