Tacoma’s Pacific Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-5 closes until mid-April starting Thursday, March 24

TACOMA – Starting at 7 a.m. Thursday, March 24, crews will close the Pacific Avenue on-ramp to southbound Interstate 5 in Tacoma. The on-ramp will remain closed around the clock until mid-April. The work is weather-dependent, and inclement weather could delay the reopening of the ramp.

During the closure, crews will realign the ramp as part of I-5: M Street to Portland Avenue – HOV project.

Drivers will be detoured via State Route 509 and Interstate 705 until the ramp reopens. Drivers are encouraged to plan extra time into their commute.
