Take Spring Break With The Animals
TAKE A SPRING BREAK WITH THE ANIMALS:
SCHOOL VACATION IS THE PERFECT TIME TO COME TO THE ZOO, AND A DIFFERENT ANIMAL WILL BE SPOTLIGHTED EACH DAY, APRIL 1-5*

TACOMA, Wash. – Spring is in the air, kids are about to take a vacation from school, and the animals at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium are ready to shine in the spotlight.
A different animal will be featured each day during Spring Break, April 1 to 5, to give zoo visitors a chance to learn more about them.
Each of the animals spotlighted during Spring Break is one of the stars of the Wild Wonders Outdoor Theater show, which will open its new season in May.
Each Spring Break Close Encounter takes place at 1:30 p.m.
Here’s the schedule:
April 1: Scooter the armadillo
April 2: Tilly the aardvark
April 3: Oscar the opossum
April 4: Thurston the skunk
April 5: Nigel the coendou
As with every day, there will be lots of other talks and presentations and very cool animals to see during Spring Break.
All of the activities are free with zoo admission.
Zoo hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
