Technical and Policy Experts Needed to Advise 2016-2017 Puget Sound Action Agenda Update
|
The Puget Sound Partnership is in the first stages of developing the 2016-17 Puget Sound Action Agenda, the comprehensive conservation and management plan that prioritizes the work of the region on the most effective strategies to restore Puget Sound. The Action Agenda is updated every two years to make sure recovery efforts are on track with the latest science and changing conditions of the Puget Sound ecosystem. As part of this process, the Puget Sound Partnership is looking for volunteers with technical and policy expertise to serve on three interdisciplinary, technical committees called Strategic Initiative Transition Teams. Members of these expert committees will solicit, review, evaluate and recommend content for the 2016-17 Action Agenda that addresses these three strategic areas of focus: • Protecting and restoring habitat • Protecting and recovering shellfish beds • Preventing pollution from stormwater You can find more details online in our recruitment announcement. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2015. |
