The 2014 Rainier Connect/KeyBank Chamber Golf Classic Tournament
Gorgeous Views & Weather Close Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber’s Premier Fundraiser
TACOMA, Wash. – On Thursday, May 29, the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber held their annual Rainier Connect/KeyBank Golf Classic at the Tacoma Country & Golf Club, 13204 Country Club Drive SW, Lakewood, Wash. 98498.
From nifty golfer gift shoe bags (sponsored by Heritage Bank) and a pre-tournament party at the Pro Shop (sponsored by Courtyard by Marriott) stocked with margaritas and delicious fare from Picasso Catering, to concluding with a sun-soaked after-party on the lawn, this year’s Chamber Golf Classic was memorable. Thirty volunteers and Chamber staff, fun activities and great hole sponsors made this event an entertaining one for the field of 144 golfers, which included an Honor Our Heroes Foursome (sponsored by TrueBlue) made up of military veterans.
On the 6,686 yard green, 36 teams competed for the title of tournament champion. Congratulations go to the team members of Michael Dunbar, CFP, LLC; Mike Dunbar, Michelle Roberts, Craig Roberts and Jim White, who triumphed with the title of 1st Place Team Winner. The lucky winning foursome received a Grand Prize donated by Hotel Murano - a night for two in one of their luxurious Junior Suites, breakfast at The Bite Restaurant and a $20 gift certificate to Savi Day Spa. Congratulations are also in order for “Best Hole” winner Opti Staffing Group whose hospitality and charm made it a crowd favorite.
