Transportation Master Plan Citywide Open House March 23

The City of Tacoma’s Public Works Department is holding a citywide open house for the Transportation Master Plan on Monday, March 23, from 6–7:30 p.m. at Freighthouse Square (2501 E. D St.).

The Tacoma Transportation Commission and Tacoma City staff have developed a draft of the City’s first Transportation Master Plan. The plan will help the City and community examine the transportation system, how well it is functioning and what needs, including funding, will be necessary over the next 20 years and beyond.

Residents are encouraged to attend this open house to learn more, ask questions, and provide feedback including which streets need to form the backbone network for each transportation mode(transit, bike, auto, freight), and express if the goals reflect their vision for Tacoma.

Transportation Master Plan outreach booths will also be available at the Tacoma Comprehensive Plan open houses on the following dates and locations from 6–8 p.m.
