What a Great Deal!

FIVE-AND-A-HALF HOURS AT THE ZOO FOR HALF OFF GENERAL ADMISSION

We call it Half-Day for Half-Price, but it’s so much more than that; visitors get five-and-a-half hours to enjoy the zoo, its exhibits and amazing animals during a special pre-Zoobilee opening on Friday, July 19

Tacoma, Wash. –  What’s greater than a mid-summer bargain? How about a mid-summer bargain that includes tigers, polar bears, harbor seal pups. red wolves, penguins, sharks, stingrays and all manner of animals?

That’s what Pont Defiance Zoo & Aquarium is serving up on Friday, July 19. It’s called Half-Day for Half-Price, but it’s a bit sweeter than that. Half-Price General Admission gets visitors five-and-a-half hours of animal watching, stingray touching and cute tiger cub and clouded leopard cub ogling.

All for as little as $4.25 for tots, $6.50 for youths, $8 for seniors and $8.50 for adults.

Visiting hours for the general public are 8:30 a.m to 2 p.m. on this day. The zoo closes early so The Zoo Society can prepare for its annual gala fundraiser, Zoobilee.

All sections of the zoo, except the North Pacific Aquarium, will be open to the public on this special day.

The zoo resumes regular summer hours, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Saturday, July 20.
