Coming soon to downtown Tacoma – Odd Otter Brewing

Last month Tacoma beer lovers celebrated the opening of Pacific Brewing & Malting Co. Next up is the opening of Odd Otter Brewing, just a few doors down on Pacific. They're hoping to open soon, although it's looking like opening day won't come any sooner than November, according to the brewery's Facebook page.

The doors may not be open yet at 716 Pacific, but the brewers have been busy. Some of their beers made it out to tasting events like Brew53 this summer, but they've got an even more extensive list planned for the tasting room. There's an amber, a strawberry blonde, and a double IPA, alongside some more unusual sounding flavors like the Coconut Chai Porter and Momma Otter's Pancake Porter.

With the imminent opening of Odd Otter and the recently opened Pacific Brewing on Pacific, and just up the hill Tacoma Brewing and the someday plans for McMenamins, are we looking a New Brewery District for Tacoma?
